ABOUT RENAISSANCE

The REMS Compass symbolizes our commitment to adventure, encourages us to stay curious, and to find joy in our educational journeys with our students present and future.  We do this by grounding ourselves in our Core Values of Crew, which celebrates inclusivity and accessibility for all students.  These core values encapsulate Adventure Education, Expeditionary Learning and Crew.  The compass, along with the colors green and blue, reminds us of the natural world and pays tutelage to our adventurous spirit.  We use these symbols to remind us of our goals: to enhance our connections and grow our sense of Crew throughout our larger community.

What Is a Magnet School?

Magnet schools are public schools with specialized programs that are open to all students within a school district or designated metro area—regardless of home address. Like traditional public schools, magnet schools are held to high standards by the local school board (DCSD) and the Colorado Department of Education.

Our curriculum blends Expeditionary Learning, Adventure Education, and Social and Emotional Learning, creating a dynamic and modern approach to education. We are committed to innovation, ensuring our programs stay relevant for today’s learners.
