Meet Ms. Matti

I'm excited to be teaching 4th grade again this year. 

It's hard to believe this will be my 16th year in education.  My teaching career began on an Indian reservation in South East Alaska, where I developed a deep appreciation for community. I met my husband, Austin, in Alaska and we moved back to my home roots in Colorado. I taught in several towns throughout Colorado, as we grew our family.  Following my time in the classroom, I transitioned into a unique role as a hospital educator and academic liaison at Children's Hospital Colorado- an experience that deepened my understanding of student needs, resiliency, and the power of creating relationships with my students. 

I am thrilled to have my own two children, Locklyn and Ledger, also at REMS with me.  As a family, we love sports, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with our three dogs (Dwight, Bert, and Lottie). We're happy to be a part of the REMS crew again this year and looking forward to a great school year.
