Meet Ms. Matti
I'm excited to be joining the REMS Crew teaching 4th grade this year.
I've had the privilege of teaching for 14 years in first, second, grade and third grade. My teaching career began on an Indian reservation in South East Alaska, where I developed a deep appreciation for community. I met my husband, Austin, in Alaska and we moved back to my home roots in Colorado. I taught in several towns throughout Colorado, as we grew our family. Following my time in the classroom, I transitioned into a unique role as a hospital educator and academic liaison at Children's Hospital Colorado- an experience that deepened my understanding of student needs, resiliency, and the power of creating relationships with my students.
I am thrilled to have my own two children, Locklyn and Ledger, also at REMS with me. As a family we love to travel, paddleboard, and explore the outdoors with our three dogs (Dwight, Bert, and Amora). We're so happy to be a part of the REMS crew and explore this journey together.
