Meet Ms. Sheri

Hello!! A little about me…I am new Colorado! My husband (Brad) and I moved here this year to be grandparents to Callahan. He is our 1st grandchild. We have 2 daughters. Bricelyn (Zach) lives in Highlands Ranch. Our oldest daughter, Katelynn (Paul), just moved to Wisconsin from Carbondale, CO. 

I was born in Winterset, Iowa (hometown of John Wayne…my claim to fame). I moved around as a child between Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Minnesota. I graduated High School in Elk River, Minnesota (a suburb of Minneapolis). My siblings and parents all live in the Minneapolis area. I went to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and earned a Mathematics degree and Physical Education minor. Brad and I married right out of college and moved to Bettendorf, Iowa. 

I taught math and coached at the middle/junior high level for 10 years in Davenport, Iowa. I attended Western Illinois University and earned my Masters in Educational Administration and Ed.S. in Educational Leadership. From 1999 - 2022, I was a building principal in Davenport at 2 different intermediate schools and 2 different elementary schools. My final 14 years were at Wood Junior High. I retired in 2022. I have discovered that I don’t sit still very well. In retirement, I have returned to education by supervising student teachers for several universities, and subbing as a building principal in Illinois.
