Meet Mr. Steve
Born and raised in Florida, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University. While I originally planned to pursue a career in law enforcement, my own 70-pound weight loss journey inspired me to shift paths and become a personal trainer. Over the years, I helped clients build healthier habits, recover from injuries, and improve movement and biomechanics—first in North Carolina and later in Colorado, where I moved in 2018.
After the pandemic, I felt called to make a broader impact and with inspiration from family and friends I turned to teaching. Since 2023, I’ve been proud to guide and encourage students in the classroom, focusing on building positive mindsets, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Rosie, and my cat, Logan. I also love swimming, hiking, camping, playing games of all kinds (especially computer games and TTRPGs), and finding new ways to challenge myself both physically and mentally. I believe that we are all lifelong learners, and I strive to inspire that same passion for growth in my students.
